DHAKA (BANGLADESH): B. Sai Praneeth, one of the young, talented, promising and upcoming shuttler from India bagged the Men’s singles title at the recently concluded Bangaldesh Open 2015 tournament here in Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh recently on 5th of December 2015.
Sai, seede no 1 here defeated fellow Indian Sameer Verma, a second seed also one of the young, talented and promising shuttler from India, an equal calibre like Sai in a three set 21-14, 8-21, 21-17.
The first game saw Sameer make some mistakes to the follow Indian, as not perfectly setting to the groove, as Sai was raising scores ahead of Sameer. When Sameer thought of catching up with Sai, it was too late as sai was about to close the first game lost the game 21-14.
The second was an entirely different one, when they both changed sides, Sameer was feeling to have more control over the second game may be the sides had an impact over Sameer and Sameer raised in no time to the lead and Sai was caught unaware of the strokes played by Sameer and lost the second game and pushed the game to a decider.
The third game as a thriller, as both of the Indians battled from point to point till 17-17, after which Sai, made well use of his experience against the fellow Indian Sameer to oust him 21-17 by grabbing 3 quick points to settle the scores and the match at 21-17.
