Para-badminton India team wins 11 medals.

The India Para-badminton team

The Indian team gave a stunner after pocketing 11 medals (four gold, three silvers and four bronze medals) at the recently concluded Para Badminton World Championship held here in Stoke Mandeville, England from September 8 to 13.

India made history as eight of their players made it to the finals across different categories. A total of 444 athletes from 39 countries participated in the six-day event.

The championships are hosted every two years with the last edition taking place in Dortmund in 2013.
