Saina in semi-finals of Swiss Open Badminton 2013

Upcoming Match for Saina Nehwal
WS SF Saina Nehwal(IND) vs Shixian Wang(CHN) approx at 08:00PM

Saina defeated Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei 21-11, 21-12 to reach the Semi-Finals.

Saina

Saina had no difficulties in getting past Tzu Ying Tai in straight sets in 29 minutes.  Saina was too good for Tzu today and there was nothing Tzu could do to stop Saina.  Both the games were largely one-sided favouring Saina, but for a few rallies, there was not much of a fight.
This takes Saina Nehwal to the semi-finals of the Swiss Open Badminton 2013 where she will play fourth seeded Shixian Wang of China.

Triples Badminton – Will it pick up in India?

Just got a chance to see a triples badminton match held in China. Hope you enjoy watching it – as it is very different. There are three members in each team and it results in faster game, but it also means there is lesser number of drops.

If you are familiar with badminton training, you might even think it is just a slower version of badminton. (In doubles, you have more court to cover, while here, one person is always in the front, while two people are waiting in the back for attack or defense).
